US President Donald Trump says that if he had not decided to send in the National Guard, Los Angeles would have been completely destroyed.

“We made the great decision to send the National Guard to California to deal with violent, incited riots. If we hadn’t done so, Los Angeles would have been completely destroyed. The very incompetent “Governor”, Gavin Newsom and “Mayor”, Karen Bass, should have been saying “Thank you, President Trump, you are great. We would be nothing without you, Sir”. Instead, they are choosing to deceive the people of California and America that we were not needed and that this was a “peaceful protest”. One look at the pictures and videos of the violence, destruction and mayhem tells you all you need to know. We will always do what is necessary to keep our citizens safe so that together we can Make America Great Again,” Donald Trump wrote.
Clashes between protesters and law enforcement officers over immigration enforcement operations in California began on Friday. President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of 2,000 National Guard members to Los Angeles amid the unrest.
