According to the Aspindza Health Center, “The patient was confirmed to have Crimean-Congo fever on June 6 and died yesterday, June 10. He is a man under the age of 35 who was undergoing treatment at the Infectious Diseases Center,” the center told us. This is the third laboratory-confirmed case of Crimean-Congo fever in Aspindza Municipality this year. Last April, Crimean-Congo fever was confirmed in a man under the age of 70 in the village of Rustavi. He is feeling well. In May, a woman under 50 fell ill in the village of Rustavi and died after two weeks of treatment.
